My client is currently in a period of growth and is currently looking to employ a Software Engineering Manager to join their expanding team.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for making sure that the engineering group deliver quality software and services on time. The role involves overseeing the development and deployment of the company`s broadcast and IP connected TV platform and service, this includes the integration of the platform into multiple, diverse products, and the international rollout of the underlying broadcast and server infrastructure.
The successful candidate will have significant experience managing software development using agile methodologies preferable in an embedded software environment. They will ideally have experience in several of the following fields; Set-Top Box/TV development, IPTV, DVB broadcast equipment, Java mobile application development, web based application development and server architectures. They must be highly pro-active, have an eye for detail and work well as a team motivator and mentor.
The chosen candidate will be working closely with a small multi-functional team and will be expected to work across all disciplines to help them meet their goals. They will also be expected to work with the team to help improve development processes to raise quality and improve efficiency.

Co-ordinating product and service rollout internationally.
Managing external contractors.
Equipment budgeting and acquisition.
