My client currently have a fantastic position for an experienced and passionate PHP programmer/developer to work on diverse projects in a creative design business. Your role is to create dynamic websites and web applications from layouts, briefs and database plans provided to you as well contributing to the development of larger projects with ideas and suggestions. The working environment is fast paced which means you will often be working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Principal duties and responsibilities will involve:
Web site and web application development (You will be given detailed PNG layouts and database plans for each project).
Maintaining the site style throughout development (ensuring the initial design follows through the site).
Coding the CSS, PHP, javascript, jQuery, mySQL etc.
Ensuring the site is accessible and search engine friendly.
Ensuring the site works in all current browsers.
Working closely with the team.
Essential requirements:
Good English, written & spoken
Previous experience in a similar role or environment
Attention to detail
CSS proficient
Experienced in Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver
Understand Search Engine Optimisation
Team player
Confident & able to work independently as required
Knowledge of current trends and technologies
Flexible and adaptable
Desirable:
Familiar with Illustrator
Social Networking & Blogs
Working with Video & Audio
Flash/Action Script
