The Company specialises in IT installation and support for small and medium businesses in the North West area. Their typical customer has 5 to 50 workstations, is a professional service business, and relies heavily on e-mail, the Internet, and their computer network for running their business.
They are currently looking to recruit an IT Helpdesk/Remote Support Engineer to assist with 1st and 2nd Line support.
Responsibilities:
To provide remote end-user IT support to the Company`s clients.
To support clients with hardware & software issues
Supporting client issues with Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 servers
Knowledge:
Knowledge of PC Hardware and components with view to building/troubleshooting/repairing
Knowledge of Networking components and TCP/IP
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledge of Microsoft exchange server/Outlook
Alongside your technical skills, you will need to possess the following personal qualities:
Flexibility / Adaptability / Initiative / Ability to respond quickly & effectively to problems / Ability to work as part of a team whilst managing your own workload / Excellent communication skills!
The role will involve occasional travel within the North West if any issues cannot be resolved remotely. Consequently the jobholder will need to possess a clean UK driving License.
