My client is a world class manufacturing, support and development centre who currently have an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer to join the team.
The role: Following an internal promotion, a position has become available in the software engineering team. The main focus will be in the development and testing of real-time embedded software for inverter control systems. The role will include interfacing with members of the software team and other departments based around the world.
As one of a team of Software Engineers, you will be dedicated to providing development and support expertise using embedded C/C++ as part of one of the world`s leading Drive manufacturers. Together with a good relevant degree, you must have a proven track record throughout the lifecycle of real-time embedded software development and support.
Your require: A good degree in science, electronics or computing. A proven track record of shipping real world embedded microcontroller systems software. A sound knowledge of hardware interface techniques, basic hardware debugging and the use of ICE. Experienced in formal methods of software design and using CM and defect tracking Tools. Experience in Assembler and H8/V850/ARM microcontrollers an advantage. An understanding of Drives technology would be a distinct advantage.
The role requires a pragmatic approach and the ability to work in a team orientated environment, combined with good communication skills at all levels. Team working skills are essential, but the ability to work autonomously and using initiative is equally important.
Excellent salary ranging from £28k - £32k dependent upon experience. Working Hours: 36.25 per week. Holiday entitlement: 26days per annum + Statutory Holidays.
