Purpose of Role:
The Company is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, reliable, self-motivated and hard working individual to provide support to the IT Manager. The role will be an interested and varied one with excellent opportunities for further progression and training.
This role could suit a person already employed within IT support and who is looking to progress to the next level in terms of hands-on administration, configuration and implementation of their IT systems. However, they are happy to consider a range of candidates, and they value aptitude & enthusiasm for IT as much as experience.
Location:
This position will be primarily based at the head office in Manchester although some travel to the other offices, including the occasional overnight stay, may be necessary as part of the duties of this job.
Specific Requirements:
You main duties will be as follows:
- To provide on-site & remote end-user IT support to our six offices
- To support users with hardware & software issues
- To provide advice on use of IT resources
- To assist the IT Manger implementing the strategic IT plan
- Other IT & general duties as deemed appropriate
Relevant Experience:
Reasonable working knowledge of following:
MS desktop OS systems, MS Office applications
Knowledge of following would be useful:
TCP/IP networking, Windows 2003 server administration, Database administration, Router configuration, Email server administration
Education: Min. 4 GCSE`s (grade A-C) including Maths & English
Skills: Ability to work on own initiative, Excellent communication skills, Ability to work with professional teams, Ability to respond quickly & effectively to problems
