Job Title: Support Services Engineer Department: Operations Reporting To: Test Supervisor Description: To provide technical services in support of all Company activities requiring product and system testing, installation, commissioning and maintenance. Duties & Responsibilities: Testing of products ranging from discrete printed circuit boards to complete systems using a variety of testing methods and procedures including ATE (Automated Test Equipment), bespoke test rigs and project/product documentation. Verification of product performance to design specification. Installation, commissioning, fault diagnosis and repair of products and systems at customers` sites throughout the UK and Overseas. Provide technical support to both new and existing clients. As part of a team of resources provide 24/7 365 services for on call duties on rota basis and respond promptly to any "call out" from Company customers to ensure guaranteed service commitments. Carry out routine maintenance at customer sites as required. Promote their reputation as a Company and to create a first class impression of the Company at all times. Qualifications (Essential) HND/HNC in related subject. Experience/Skills Essential: Good understanding of digital/analogue hardware techniques and applications in an industrial systems environment. Good understanding of digital/analogue fault finding procedures. Ability to understand and adhere to Company and external standards (typically ISO 9001). Experience/Skills Desirable: 2-3 years in a similar role. Person Profile: Ability to work well within a team or on own initiative and during unsociable hours when necessary. Self motivated with good communication skills. Logical thinker and a good problem solver with an enthusiasm to fault find and fix.
