My client is currently looking for a QA analyst (Technical) to join their successful team. The Technical QA analyst will work within the QA team to ensure the quality of all System C software prior to delivery to the Software Implementation team. The Technical QA analyst will be responsible for the development, maintenance and running of automated test scripts as well as play an active hands-on role in all aspects of the day-to-day Software QA process.
Principal Responsibilities: Development, maintenance and running of automated test scripts. To “hands on” test the full product range. To liaise with other software testers and implementation staff to facilitate the testing of (and on occasion third party) software. To liaise with members of the development team in order to provide QA feedback. To create and maintain suitable test environments within the offices for all software testing to take place. This includes the set-up of the software being tested and test data. The production of documentation and models of the MedWay product range (both internal and external). To support the development team in delivering timely and quality products to our NHS customers.
Qualifications and Knowledge: Hands on experience of developing automated test scripts using products such as TestComplete, TestDirector, QA Wizard OR experience of a development language such as Visual Basic, C#, C++. Good understanding of software testing techniques and QA processes. Good understanding of database environments and tools.
Experience: Some experience in either software development or QA role. Knowledge of client/server database applications. Proficient in the usage of a variety of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems as well as MS Office.
Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills both orally and in writing. Ability to organise, co-ordinate and prioritise day to day work load. Methodical approach to problem solving. Self-starter with great determination and motivation to succeed. Ability to work within project constraints to ensure that milestone and delivery dates are met.
Responsible For: Ensuring software is thoroughly tested prior to release to customers. Ensuring regression bugs are identified and illuminated from new software releases.
Based Warrington. Salary negotiable on experience but will be around £18k - £23k.
