Due to continued expansion, a leading Independent Software Vendor (specialising in software provision to the Telecoms Industry) are looking for a Pre Sales Application Consultant to join the Pre Sales Department responsible for worldwide opportunities. The role will be primarily field sales with an element of office based support, servicing a substantial client base in a wide variety of industries. The position will demand 100% commitment to drive the expansion of the business whilst maintaining existing accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technically minded individual with some pre sales experience an advantage.
Responsibilities are to fully manage technical responses to Invitation to Tender (ITT) and conduct demonstration of applications to existing and potential customers. To offer technical assistance to the sales and marketing team and work in close relationship with account managers, marketing and sales in support of customer, prospect, agent and partner technical presentations. To analyse customers' business requirements and application objectives and tailor responses accordingly. To assist in development of costings for software and implementation. To estimate time frames, quality and quantity of resources required to successfully implement software functionality prior to contract signing. Experience of using DISE is an advantage.
The Application Consultant is responsible for participating in all pre-sales activities relating to assigned clients and prospects.
Typical duties of a Sales Application Consultant can include but are not limited to the following:- Build and conduct sales and technical presentations to customers, channel partners and perform technology focused seminars. Conduct product demonstrations to Customers and Channel Partners. This can be conducted in person or over the internet. Ensure that all product objections that arise during product demo presentations and through standard product evaluations are addressed either during the presentation or as part of required follow-up. Product demonstrations and sales presentations. Proposal writing and ITT response. Knowledge Transfer to client & channel partner. Conduct consulting and training. Assist and support marketing. Support Sales & Account Managers in their sales efforts. Report client activities back into Product Marketing. tendance of Industry event, exhibitions and conferences. Support and Maintain adherence to ISO 9001/TickIT Quality Standards
