Main Duties: Work with a team of 3 other people to provide technical support to clients using various database systems and to a strict SLA. Log and track incidents to completion. Manage all aspects of client database installations, including pro-active maintenance.
Educational qualifications: Minimum of GCSE grade A-C in English and Maths, preferably with 'A' levels.
Other Qualities: Familiarity with any flavour of Unix (e.g. Linux).
Any Oracle, SQL Server, Ingres or Sybase skills an advantage.
Confidence (you will regularly be speaking to our customers senior management).
Excellent telephone / communication skills.
Ability to grasp technical concepts.
Excellent organizational skills.
Proactive – ability to work unsupervised.
Training will be provided where appropriate.
Salary £15,000 to £20,000 depending upon experience + overtime + on-call allowance. |
